“I wanted you to know that, at first, I was skeptical that J. even “needed” braces. However, I took the recommendation of his dentist to heart, as she is the professional, and I began my research and investigations and began the process of interviewing many, if not all, orthodontists in the Wellington – Royal Palm areas. I was given your name by a friend and your web site address and I must say I was quite impressed with the information I found. I called and made an appointment for a consultation. After already having had many consultations with other offices, I must say I was not getting my hopes up. I was very disappointed on what I had found so far.
Much to my surprise, we were greeted by a very pleasant and professional person at the front desk (April) and the office was extremely neat and clean and modern (unlike all the other offices I had been to). April immediately introduced herself and took J. and I for a tour of the office. From that point on, I thought “this just might be the one”. She then explained everything that was going to happen that day, which put J. at ease as he was very nervous. We then went into the consultation room and Dr. Simon came in and introduced himself and again made J. very comfortable. The digital photos were then taken by a very pleasant assistant.
Dr. Simon then returned and explained his findings and, in detail, explained what course of treatment he would like to take with J. I felt so at ease and didn’t feel pressured at all. He took all the time I needed and answered all of my questions which impressed me. I must say I did think to myself “this is too good to be true ~ here it comes ~ this is going to cost a fortune!” Much to my surprise, when April explained the fees to me it was comparable to the other offices I had visited! And again, I didn’t feel pressured into making a decision right there and then, I told her that I would like to go home and discuss it with my husband (although I already know I was coming back) and that I would call her back.
Needless to say, here we are 2 years later (it went by so fast) and cannot believe the difference the braces have made. J. is much more confident in his smile and, quite honestly, it has been one of the best experiences we have ever had. I hear of the nightmare stories from friends of mine (who did not take my recommendation and come to Dr. Simon) on how long they have to wait for their appointments (sometimes over an hour) and how they just feel like a “number” to their doctor. I must say we have NEVER felt that way here!
